I am a strong believer that the primary existed of chili, especially vegan/vegetarian chili, is to serve as the leading man on my chili fries. So I am not even going to waste your time telling you how much I love chili, because I don’t. My love is for chili fries. For example, I don’t like Richard Gere, I love Edward Lewis. I don’t like him as a person, or an actor for that matter (because I could care less what else he played in), but I love that character he played in Pretty Women.

Vegan Chili Recipe – Vegetarian Chili Recipe


2 16 ounce cans of kidney beans
1 24 ounce jar of pasta sauce
2 cups vegetable broth
1 bell pepper, diced
4 tablespoons chili related spices
(chili powder, cumin, onion, garlic, etc, I used the cheat packet)


Put a large pot over high heat. Add in kidney beans, pasta sauce, vegetable broth, diced bell peppers, and chili spices.

Bring to a boil, stir it, then allow to simmer for 30 minutes. But don’t leave it the whole time, you will have to stir is every once and awhile.

Serve it up hot.
