Gajar ka Halwa Recipe in Pressure Cooker Easy and Quick

Ingredients

  • Carrot – 500gm
  • Sugar – 200 gm
  • Khoya/Mawa – 150 gm
  • Milk – 100ml / 1/2 cup
  • Roasted Dry fruits – 1/2 cup or According to desire
  • Desi Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  • Green cardamom powder – 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Firstly by peeling the carrot and wash and grate it.
  2. Now add the carrot and milk to the pressure cooker and cook it until the two Whistling.
  3. After that remove the lid and cook it in the open till milk gets dry.
  4. Will add sugar to it now. Cooks 2:00 to 3:00 on a high flame.
  5. Add ghee or butter and fry it from 1:30 to 2:00 minutes.
  6. Finally, now add Mawa/Khoya, Green cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits mix in it.
  7. Served hot with garnishing some Khoya and nuts.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gms. Chicken (bone-in chicken)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables of your chocice (carrot, potatoes, peas,french beans etc.)
  • Few tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. Ginger shredded/grated/paste
  • 1 tsp. Oil
  • Spices
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Peppercorns
  • 2 Small Cinnamon sticks
  • 3-4 cloves
  • Fresh herbs (for garnish)

Instruction

  1. Add vegetables, chicken, salt, cinnamon stick and few peppercorns to a pressure cooker. Pour enough water (3 to 4 glasses) and cook for 3 whistles.
  2. Heat a deep pan with oil and sauté the rest of the spices along with ginger.
  3. Add carrots, beans and fry for a minute and cook until the carrots are cooked.
  4. Drain off the stock to the pan and set aside the chicken.
  5.  Shred the chicken and add it back to the pan.
  6. Finally Squeeze in the lemon juice and add pepper powder.
  7.  Serve chicken soup piping hot.
