Veg Shawarma Recipe

Ingredients

  • 400 gms cottage cheese

Marinade

  • 3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 8-10 garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt as required
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Pickle

  • 1 red carrot into batons
  • 1 cucumber strips
  • 1 small beet root into batons
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Salt as required
  • 1 lemon into slices
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3-4 non spicy chillies
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 medium potato (made into french fries)
  • Mixed salad leaves ( of your choice)
  • 5-6 round thin pita breads

Instruction

For Pickle

  1. In a vessel add 1 red carrot into batons, 1 cucumber strips, 1 small beet root cut into batons, 1 tbsp sugar, salt as required, 1 lemon into slices, 1/4 cup water, 3-4 non spicy chillies bring to a boil and keep it aside for an hour covered with the lid.

For marination

  1. In a grinder add 3 tbsp yogurt, 3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds, 8-10 garlic cloves, 1 tsp cinnamon powder, 1 small onion, 2 green chillies, 1 tbsp lemon juice, salt as required, 2 tbsp olive oil and grind it into a paste.
  2. Take 400 gms cottage cheese and cut it into thick slices, marinate with the paste and keep it aside for half an hour.

For french fries

  1. Cut 1 potatoes into baton and fry them in oil till they turn golden brown.
  2. Fry the marinated pieces of cottage cheese in some oil and then cut them into long pieces.
  3. In a small bowl mix 2 tbsp mayonnaise and the marination paste.
  4. Warm 5-6 round thin pita breads on a pan, apply the mayonnaise, add mixed salad leaves, french fries, pickled vegetables, pieces of cottage cheese, roll it and reserve it with a toothpick.

 

Dal Gosht Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Toor Dal
  • 6-8 pcs Mutton on bone
  • 1 large sliced onions
  • 1 inch pc Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Mint leaves
  • 1 tsp Haldi
  • 2 tsp Chilli pwd
  • 1 tbsp Dhania pwd
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped Tomato
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 lt ++ Water
  • Fried onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the split pigeon peas.
  2. In the pressure cooker add toor dal, mutton, turmeric, salt, ginger, water and cook for 4-5 whistles.
  3. In a pan add oil and heat it up then add sliced onion, pinch of salt and then let them turn golden brown, reserve few for garnish.
  4. In the pan add tomatoes and cook them until they are nice and soft then start adding the masalas – coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric and garam masala.
  5. Check the dal and add some water to it
  6. Add the dal into the masala and mix it properly
  7. Let it cook for sometime and now the Dal Gosht is ready to be serve
  8. Garnish it with mint leaves and juice of half a lime

Mango Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup mango pulp
  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp gelatin
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Garnish
  • Few tbsp whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup diced mangoes
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate
  • Mint

Instructions

  1. Whip some cream and keep in refrigerator for 40 minutes.
  2. Let the gelatin soak in water for few minutes
  3. In a saucepan add milk, egg yolks and sugar.
  4. Keep it on medium flame and whisk continously
  5. Add the gelatin into the mixture and gently whisk it with spatula until the gelatin dissolve
  6.  Keep whisking until the pudding mixture cools down to room temperature
  7. Add the mango pulp to the pudding mixture and keep stirring
  8. Add the mixture to the bowl and set in refrigerator for 2 hours
  9. Once the pudding is set.Garnish it with whipped cream,pieces of fresh mangoes, pomegranate seeds
    and mint leaves.
  10. Mango Pudding is ready to be served.

Chicken Mexican Tacos Recipe | Tacos With Chicken Filling | The Bombay Chef – Varun Inamdar

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 no. red pepper chopped
  • 1 no. green pepper chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic smashed.
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp tsp cumin powder
  • 500 gms chicken mince

Salsa

  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsely
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 tsp tabassco
  • 1/2 lemon (juice)

Salt

  • Guacamole
  • 1 ripe avocados
  • ½ lime
  • Salt as required
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream

Instructions

  1. Chop the veggies
  2. In a pan heat some olive oil and then add the veggies and saute them
  3. Add minced chicken and cook it on a high flame
  4. Add salt, paprika and roasted cumin powder
  5. Roughly chop the garlic and add it into the pan and stir it properly
  6. Once the chicken is cooked properly turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool
  7. Chop onion,green chillies and tomato and mix them together
  8. Also chop some parsley, salt and juice of lemon mix it and add tabasco
  9. In a bowl add the avocado, salt, cream and juice of lemon
  10. Whisk it all together
  11. Shred the lettuce leaves
  12. In a taco shell put lettuce leaves, chicken filling, salsa and guacamole
  13. Chicken Mexican Taco is ready to be served.

 

Tandoori Chicken | No Oven – Easy To Make Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut in 10-12 pieces
  • 200 gms Dahi/Curd
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 piece of charcoal
  • ginger garlic paste
  • Garnish
  • Coriander leaves
  • onions slices,
  • lemons halves

Instruction

  1. Make some deep cuts into the chicken pieces
  2.  For marination add yogurt, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and salt to taste.
  3. Keep aside the marinated chicken for 30 minutes
  4. In a pan add some oil and salted butter, place the chicken pieces in the pan
  5. Cook each sides properly until you get nice golden brown colour, cook for 10-12 minutes
  6.  Heat the charcoal until its red in colour
  7. In the bowl where the tandoori chicken is placed, keep a small steel glass and place the coal in it and add some oil and cover the lid.
  8. Garnish it with coriander leaves, onion and lemon
  9. Tandoori Chicken is ready to be served!
