For Thickening
- 1/3 cup corn starch
- 1/3 cup cold water or cold broth
OR

Instructions
To Prepare Gravy With Flour
-
Combine 6 tablespoons flour to every 2 cups broth or water and shake in a jar with a lid (I prefer broth!).
-
Add to gravy base while whisking until thickened. Let boil 1 minute.
-
Stir in fresh herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
To Prepare Gravy With Cornstarch
-
Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl and set aside. Bring prepared broth to a boil over medium high heat. Add any turkey drippings if available (I cook the gravy right in the turkey roasting pan on my stovetop).
-
While whisking, slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into boiling gravy a little bit at a time. Continue adding until gravy reaches desired consistency.
-
Stir in fresh herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
