Oven Roasted Turkey Breast Recipe


  • 1 turkey breast boneless approx. 2.5-3.5lbs or bone-in approx 5lbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 3 tablespoon fresh herbs chopped *see note
  • salt and black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Tie the turkey breast (if it is not tied or in a net already).
  3. Brush the turkey breast with olive oil. Generously sprinkle with salt, pepper and fresh herbs.
  4. Place the turkey breast in a small casserole dish and nestle onions (and extra herbs if desired) alongside the turkey.
  5. Roast the boneless turkey breast for 15 minutes.

  6. Reduce the oven temperature to 375°F and roast an additional 25-40 minutes until temperature in the thickest part reaches 165°F.

  7. Remove from oven and let rest 10-15 minutes before slicing.
