Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe


  • 24 mushrooms or 48 small mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ pound sausage (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons onion minced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 ounces cheddar cheese divided
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese shredded


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Clean mushrooms and remove stems. Using a small spoon, scrape out the middle of the mushroom to make room for filling.
  3. Finely dice stems and place stems, onion, sausage and garlic in a small pan. Cook until no pink remains. Drain any fat.
  4. Mix cheddar and parmesan cheese and reserve ¼ cup for topping.
  5. Combine cream cheese, cheese mixture, and cooled sausage in a small bowl. Fill each mushroom cap with the cream cheese filling.
  6. Top with reserved cheese and bake 18-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and mushrooms are cooked
